Adbusters wins appeal to broadcast political ads in BC court
15 04 2009Being a Canadian, I am happy to hear about this. Following on from my previous post and advertising, Adbusters has won a landmark case for the right to show its ads on television and in newspapers. You can read more about it here from Art Threat. This will hopefully lead to more anti-commercial commercials. Don’t you think we need to see more of this on TV?
Oh yeah….we need more balance like this in all the media. One may argue that we need to simply more aware ourselves and realize that its all advertising. But if we all realised it, would advertising be successful? The answer is no. Companies advertise selling only one side of the story. Balance like this is needed to bring back reality that so many don’t see any more.
